Owners Mary and Chuck Vargas are a husband-and-wife duo whose passion for creating community spaces, flavorful experiences, and lifelong relationships is at the core of everything they do.
Born and raised in the Bay Area, Mary and Chuck are the entrepreneurial force behind several successful businesses:
Windermere Valley Properties, a highly respected real estate brokerage with multiple offices and over 70 agents.
Fairway EV, a woman- and minority-owned electric vehicle dealership and service center that’s become a trusted provider to cities, universities, and corporations across the U.S
But beyond their professional success, the couple is best known for their warmth, generosity, and love of entertaining.
Whether they’re guiding a family through their first home purchase or cooking a 5-foot paella for 50 guests, Mary and Chuck pour heart into every detail. One of their greatest shared joys is catering large gatherings, especially with traditional Mexican cuisine and Spanish paellas, lovingly prepared for friends, family, and even clients. The bold aromas of saffron, the simmer of fresh seafood, and the laughter of guests have become a signature experience — and it’s that same energy they bring to Mojo Hill Café.
Their dream for Mojo Hill is to create a space that feels like home for the community — where you can sip a handcrafted coffee or local wine, enjoy a sweet treat or charcuterie plate, and feel the same warmth you’d experience at their own family table.
